Fes serves as the starting point for this cultural and adventurous journey. The goal is to see two beautiful Imperial cities (Marrakech and Fez) with intriguing histories, discover the Moroccan Sahara Desert, learn about people’s lifestyles, go camel trekking, enjoy vistas of the Atlas Mountains, and relish being in well-known valleys and gorges. At Merzouga Sahara Desert, you will be able to enjoy sandboarding, a camel ride, and a delicious dinner and breakfast.

    DAY 1: Arrival in Fes

    The first day of our 9 days tour from Fes to Marrakech, we will pick you up from Fes airport (Sais) and transfer to the Hotel or Riad.

    DAY 2: Visit of Fes

    After breakfast we will visit Fes, a city that takes us back to the Middle Ages, which highlights its medieval Medina, with the Medersas (Islamic universities) of Attarine and Bou Anania, the Square and Fountain of Nejjarine, the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss and the Mosque of Karaouine. Lunch and afternoon visit to the souks. Lodging and dinner.

    DAY 3: Fes – Ifrane – Midélt – Erfoud – Merzouga

    On the third day of our 9 days tour from Fes to Marrakech and in the morning, after breakfast, we will leave Merzouga passing through the city of Ifran. The so-called Moroccan Switzerland for its architectural style. We will stop there so that you can observe the wild monkeys in the cedar forest, then we will leave for Midelt, “the capital of the apple”, at the foot of the mountain Ayachi. Stop for lunch. We continue through the Tizi-n-Talent pass and through the Ziz Valley, which is particularly known for its palm trees and the length of the oases.

    Along the way there are countless “ksars”, small villages of individual houses, to continue to Errachidia and then Erfoud, famous for its festival of dates and its fossils. We will arrive in Merzouga where the dunes of the Sahara desert, unique in Morocco, are located. The rest of the day will be dedicated to appreciate the change of the afternoon on the dunes. Night in Merzouga in the chosen accommodation.

    DAY 4: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Nomads

    After breakfast we head to the village of Khamlia, a small village inhabited mostly by blacks, where we will enjoy live Gnawa music. Then we will walk through the desert dunes to have tea in nomadic tents of authentic Berbers, or taste a Berber pizza, couscous, harira, and interact with the locals. We will return to the lodge for a short rest. After the rest, we will go to the place where the camels are, which will take us for a ride among the dunes of the Sahara, to see the sunset, a spectacle not to be missed, and continue our journey to the camp to spend the night in the middle of the desert in a camp of comfortable tents, and enjoy a delicious dinner, live drum music and contemplate the starry sky in the middle of the vastness of the desert.

    DAY 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

    On the fifth day of your 9 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech via the desert, you can get up early to watch the sunrise in the desert. After breakfast, we will return by camel to the car to leave for Rissani, where we will visit its market which is the most important in the south, as all the nomads of the desert come to do their shopping. Then we will leave for Erfoud where we will visit the fossilized marble factory and continue to the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad.

    We will arrive at one of the highlights of the South: The Todra Gorges. The course of the Todra River has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and great beauty; it is a climber’s paradise and a unique place. Lunch on site and a half hour walk to see the Gorges at leisure. In the afternoon we continue to the Dades Valley passing through Boumalne. Dinner and overnight in the Dades Gorges.

    Day 6: Dades Valley – Valle de Rosas – Skoura – Ouarzazate

    After breakfast, we will make a tour of the Gorges and the Valley of Dadès and visit the Kasbah of Aït Youl, traveling a route of unique landscapes for its diversity and colors. We will visit a family living in caves in the Vallé de Boutagrar, we continue through the Vallé des Roses to reach Kelaa M’gouna. Lunch in the village, then continue to the palm grove of Skoura, we continue to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

    DAY 7: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

    On the seveth day of our 9 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech and after breakfast, the morning is dedicated to the visit of Ouarzazate. Kasbah of Taourirt, kasbah of Tifoultoute and the film studios. Then we will go to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit its famous Kasbah (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO). In this spectacular setting have been filmed movies as renowned as Gladiator, Obelix, Sahara with Penelope Cruz and the Jewel of the Nile, Lunch on site and drive to Marrakech through the highest point of Tizi N’ Tichka. Free time to discover the famous Jamaa el Fna Square. Dinner and overnight in Marrakech.

    DAY 8: Visiting Marrakech

    Breakfast. Morning city tour in which highlights the Menara Gardens, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, Majorelle Gardens, the impressive Kutubia Mosque with its famous Minaret built by the Almohads. Lunch and free afternoon to enjoy the charm of the Jamaa El Fna square, dinner and overnight.

    DAY 9: Marrakech – Airport
