    The 4 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga dunes is highly recommended. The itinerary includes two nights in the Sahara desert (one in a hotel and one in a desert tent), a camel trek, and many short drives.

    The tour allows you to see the best of the southeast in just four days, including seeing the Barbary Apes in Azrou cedar forest, taking a sightseeing desert tour to visit nomads living in the desert, caves, wandering in Dades valley or Todra gorges, spending more time at sites, and sharing a cup of tea with a Berber family.

    Day 1: Fes – Merzouga

    On the first day of our 4 days days tour from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga, in the morning we will pick you up at the agreed place. We will leave for Merzouga through the city of Ifran, the so-called Moroccan Switzerland for its architectural style. There we will stop to let you observe the wild monkeys in the cedar forest. Then we will leave for Midelt, “the capital of the apple”, at the foot of the Ayachi mountain. Stop for lunch.

    We continue through the Tizi-n-Talento pass and through the Ziz Valley, which is particularly known for its palm trees and the length of the oases. Along the way there are countless “ksars”, small villages of individual houses. We continue our journey to Errachidia and then Erfoud, famous for its date festival and its fossils. We will arrive in Merzouga where the Sahara desert dunes, unique in Morocco, are located. The rest of the day will be dedicated to appreciate the change of the afternoon on the dunes. Night in Merzouga in the chosen accommodation.

    Day 2: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi Dunes – back around Erg Chebbi

    After breakfast we continue our 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech. This time, we will head to the village of Khamlia, a small village inhabited mostly by blacks, where we will enjoy live Gnawa music. Then we will walk through the desert dunes to have tea in nomadic tents of authentic Berbers, or taste a Berber pizza, couscous, harira, and interact with the locals.

    We will return to the lodge for a short rest. After the rest, we will go to the place where the camels are, which will take us for a ride among the dunes of the Sahara, to see the sunset, a spectacle not to be missed, and continue our journey to the camp to spend the night in the middle of the desert in a camp of comfortable tents, and enjoy a delicious dinner, live drum music and contemplate the starry sky in the middle of the vastness of the desert.

    Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Ouarzazate

    Get up early to see the spectacular sunrise, where the color of the dunes and the play of shadows are a breathtaking spectacle. After breakfast we resume the camel ride to Merzouga, from where we will depart by car to Ouarzazate via Rissani and Erfoud: famous for its fossilized marbles, where you can visit the workshop of marble fossil production.

    Continue to the Todra Gorges, which is an ideal place to walk and explore on your own the beautiful landscapes of the area. After lunch we will leave for the Dades Valley and the City of Roses called Kelaa Mgouna. We continue along the road of the thousand kasbahs-pass through the palm grove of Skoura to reach Ouarzazate called “Hollywood of Morocco”. Dinner and overnight at the hotel / iad.

    Day 4: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

    At the agreed time, after breakfast, we set off for Aït Ben Haddou, a “fortified town”, located along the old caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. The village is situated on a hill on the banks of the Ouarzazate River and has kasbahs, large houses built on land and which are many years old, some of which remain inhabited.

    This site has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the site had been the setting for many movies such as Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. We stop for lunch and then continue to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains. We arrive in Marrakech and drop you off in the Airport of your accommodation, end of the 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech.
