With our 4 day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, you will travel to the Merzouga Erg Chebbi dunes on a three-day desert tour, which means sitting in the car for 10 hours from Merzouga to Marrakech on the last day. So, for a desert tour between Marrakech and Erg Chebbi, we recommend allowing at least four days to stop each way and see the sights along the way. Subject to the recommendation of the four and five day Sahara Desert Tour to the Erg Chebbi dunes and return to Marrakesh, all because there are so many things to look up and do besides camels and nights in a deep Sahara desert camp. When you arrive at the hotel at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes early in the morning, have a cup of tea, see a few nomads who live in caves, and go on a walk with a local guide. Spend more time in the palm or on a walk to the Dades or Todra Gorges.

Trip itinerary:
DAY 1: MARRAKECH - HIGH ATLAS - OUARZAZATE - DADES GORGES
In the morning, we will pick you up at the agreed place to depart from Marrakech to the Dades Gorges over the High Atlas, through the Tizi N’tichka pass, where Berber villages and farms are settled next to the mountains. We will continue to Ouarzazate the capital of cinema in Morocco and then travel along the road of the Thousand-Kasbahs passing through valleys and mountains, where you will enjoy the beautiful Moroccan landscape with its ravines and its colorful fans, until you reach the impressive Dades Gorge. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: DADES GORGES - TODRA GORGES - MERZOUGA (THE DESERT)
After breakfast and after a tour of the Dades Gorges to appreciate its incomparable beauty, we start our journey to the desert, crossing the spectacular road through the Todra Gorges, with its impressive mountains, rivers and vegetation that make it a unique landscape. We will arrive in Merzouga and we will ride on camels, to cross the desert towards the lodge, to sleep under the stars and the majestic silence between the dunes of the Sahara. You will enjoy live drum music, the starry desert sky and the majestic silence among the imposing dunes. The tents have hot water, bathroom and all the comforts for you to rest properly. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: SAHARA DESERT -RISSANI - DRAA VALLEY - OUARZAZATE
You can wake up early to contemplate the beautiful sunrise between the dunes. After breakfast, we will ride the camels to the car, to start the journey to Ouarzazate. We will pass through Rissani where we will stop to visit its traditional Souk (market), the largest in southern Morocco and where all kinds of items are sold, from clothing, leather, carpets, handicrafts, to meat and vegetables. We will continue the journey to the beautiful Draa Valley with its millions of palm trees. In the evening arrival in Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: OUARZAZATE - AIT BEN HADDOU - HIGH ATLAS - MARRAKECH
After breakfast we will leave for Ait Ben Haddou to visit a kasbah where many movies have been filmed such as “Lawrence of Arabia”, “Gladadior” and “Babel”. At the end of the day we will arrive in Marrakech. End of our services.
