Trip itinerary:

Day 1: Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Zagora - Dromedary excursion and night in the desert:

At 8 am, our guide will pick you up at the agreed place and we will start the trip, to get into the most authentic of Morocco, towards the Atlas Mountains, Tizi N’Tichka 2260 meters high, offering wonderful and unique views of the region. On the sides of the mountains we will see Berber farms and traditional villages, along the way we will reach “Ouarzazate”, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco”. Next, we will stop for lunch and continue the tour visiting the “Kasbah Taourirt”, we will continue south, passing over the port of “Tizi-n-Tnifift”, until we reach “Agdz” crossing the “Dra’a Valley”, interesting in terms of palm plantations. We will stop on the way to observe the incredible panoramic views, an ocean of palm trees.

We will continue to “Zagora”, where the camels will be waiting for us to start a ride of about 1 hour and a half and to spend the night in the desert.

Day 2: Zagora – Marrakech

You can wake up early to watch the amazing sunrise among the desert dunes. After breakfast we will take the road back to Marrakech, with the possibility to visit the Berber stores selling and displaying fossils, carpets, lamps, all kinds of leather goods, where you will be amazed by the handicrafts, typical objects, fabrics and much more. We will arrive in “Ouarzazate” at lunch time and continue our way back to “Marrakech”.

Testimonials

In the middle of September, my daughter and I traveled to Morocco with Around Morocco Travel. Our journey began in Marrakesh and ended in the desert after crossing the Atlas Mountains. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience!!! in a 4x4 vehicle with Hamid as our guide and driver. Everything is very personalized, and Hamid, a pure Berber, was able to transmit to us in a very short time his love for the desert as well as many of the characteristics of Moroccans, who are very friendly and warm people. We would do it again in a heartbeat!
